This one is a 75 percent scale version of the classic IPSC silhouette, cut from 3/8-inch rifle-rated steel and finished in high-visibility orange so you can see your hits without squinting through the spotting scope.
The body is laser cut for clean, consistent edges, which matters more than people think. Clean edges hold up better over time and help the target take repeated impacts without chipping the way a rough plasma cut can. The 3/8-inch thickness is the sweet spot for most shooters, rated to handle centerfire rifles and pistols at safe distances while staying manageable to move around. The orange paint isn't just for looks either. It gives you a clear read on where rounds are landing and freshens up easily with a rattle can when it starts to wear.
Mounting is straightforward. The target has square holes sized for 1/2-inch carriage bolts, so it works with chain hangers, a simple 2×4 bracket, or a T-post setup. That 75 percent size splits the difference nicely between the compact 33 and 66 percent plates and the full-size silhouette. It's big enough to represent a realistic scoring area at practical rifle distances, yet still easy enough to haul out and hang without needing a crew.

The 3/8-inch steel is rated for both centerfire rifles and pistols as long as you keep to safe minimum distances. As a general rule, handguns and rimfire are shot from around 15 yards, non-magnum centerfire rifle from at least 100 yards, and magnum rifle rounds from a much greater distance. Sticking to those guidelines and avoiding steel-core or armor-piercing ammo will keep the face in good shape for years.
The target comes with square holes cut for 1/2-inch carriage bolts, which is the standard size for most steel target hardware. You can hang it with a chain kit, bolt it to a 2×4 bracket, or mount it on a T-post setup. Note that the hanging hardware and stand are sold separately, so grab a hanging kit if you don't already have one.
This is a 75 percent scale version of a standard IPSC silhouette, which puts it between the smaller 33 and 66 percent plates and the full-size 100 percent target. It's a good all-around choice for representing a realistic scoring area at practical rifle ranges while still being easy to transport and set up. If you want a smaller plate for long-range work or 3-gun, Champion offers those sizes too.
The orange finish is there for high visibility so you can spot your hits quickly, and it will wear down over time with repeated impacts, which is completely normal for painted steel. Most folks just hit it with a fresh coat of spray paint when the marks start to blend together. A quick repaint takes a minute and gets you right back to reading your shots clearly.
