The 2011 market has been on a serious run, and for a long time the gap between entry-level and anything worth owning was pretty wide. Live Free Armory set out to close that gap with the Apollo 11, and the V2 takes it a step further. Built in Palm Bay, Florida and now distributed through Century Arms' national network, the Apollo 11 V2 Full Size is a double-stack, 1911-pattern 9mm with a steel frame, stainless bull barrel, and a feature set that doesn't ask you to compromise much.
The slide is the star of the V2 update. Deeper front and rear serrations make one-handed manipulations more confident, and the optic cut uses an RMSc footprint so popular carry-sized micro red dots drop right in without adapter plates. The tritium front night sight is there for when the dot isn't, giving you a real backup reference rather than relying on painted dots. The frame itself is steel with an integrated beavertail and a Picatinny accessory rail, so there's room for a weapon light if you want to run one.
The trigger is a machined billet system with a curved shoe setup and a pull weight in the 3.5 to 4.5 lb range. That's a meaningful spec for a single-action pistol at this price point.
