The cartridge is marked NR (Not Reloadable), and for good reason—the design is optimized for single use. Each round chronographs at 800 fps from standard test barrels, delivering approximately 199 foot-pounds of muzzle energy. The Big 4 format works best in .45 Colt revolvers and similar wheelguns. These loads are purpose-built for close-range work—snakes, rats, small varmints. Avoid using shotshells in firearms with ported barrels or ported compensators. Also note they may not function in rifles, and cylinder lock-up can occur in lightweight revolvers due to capsule movement from recoil.

No. These cases are marked NR (Not Reloadable) and cannot be reloaded. The aluminum cases are designed as single-use cartridges. Attempting to reload them can result in case rupture and serious injury.
These shotshells are specifically designed for .45 Long Colt revolvers and will not function in .45 ACP firearms. The two cartridges have different dimensions and are not interchangeable. CCI does make a separate Big 4 load for .45 ACP if that's what you need.
