The #1 Close Range tube is an improved cylinder constriction. It gives you a wider, more open pattern that's built for short-range work rather than reaching out. Carlson's labels the range right on the head of the choke so there's no second-guessing what's in your barrel.
It's cut for the Browning Invector Plus thread pattern in 12 gauge, which also covers Winchester SX3, SX4, and SXP models that use the Invector Plus system. Just make sure your barrel is stamped Invector Plus and not the standard Invector, since those use different threads. If you're unsure, check the marking on your barrel before ordering.
This tube is rated for lead, steel, copper, bismuth, tungsten/TSS, Hevi-Shot, and blended or duplex loads in shot sizes BB through 10. The 17-4 stainless construction stands up to modern non-toxic loads without a problem. It's a genuinely versatile choke that covers most hunting and clay setups.
