Mid-range constriction is the everyman of choke tubes. With lead, you're looking at solid, dense patterns out to roughly 35 yards, and with steel that useful window stretches out toward 45 yards. This tube uses the Rem Choke thread pattern, so it fits most Remington 12 gauge shotguns as well as other guns that share that same interchange, like certain Mossberg, Weatherby and Charles Daly models. This is a flush mount tube, so you'll typically want a choke wrench to seat and remove it properly, and Carlson's sells one separately. Just make sure the barrel threads are clean and lightly lubed before you install it. Snug it down firmly but don't crank on it.
