This FDE version pairs a Flat Dark Earth polymer frame with a Cerakote finished steel slide cut with deep front and rear serrations. Controls are thoughtfully done for a gun this size: an ambidextrous slide stop, a reversible magazine release, a loaded chamber indicator, and a crisp flat-faced trigger with an integrated blade safety. There is no thumb safety to fumble with, so the draw stays simple. Three interchangeable backstraps let you dial the grip to your hand, and this configuration feeds from two included 10-round magazines for a 10+1 total. The MC9L adds a longer grip for a full firing hand hold, and the MC9LS keeps that longer grip while stretching the barrel to 3.64 inches. The extra slide length gives the LS a longer sight radius and a noticeably smoother recoil impulse.
It will. Even though the MC9 line is slimmer than Canik's full-size pistols, it still runs standard and extended capacity Canik magazines. This version ships with two 10-round mags, so you have a solid starting point with room to add more.
It is one of the better options in the slim nine category. At 1.14 inches wide and under 24 ounces unloaded, it conceals well, and the full-length grip means you are not shooting with a dangling pinky. The longer barrel also makes range sessions more pleasant than most micro-compacts.
