The stock magazine release on a Canik gets the job done, but if you run your pistol hard on a timer, you know those extra fractions of a second on a reload add up. This Canik Extended Magazine Catch Assembly gives you a longer, more accessible button so you can dump a mag and reload without breaking your grip or hunting for the release. It's the same part Canik's own competition crowd reaches for when they want cleaner, faster mag changes.

What Sets This Canik Mag Catch Apart

The button and catch are built from metal injection molded steel, which keeps the part durable while holding tight tolerances for a clean drop-in fit. Nearly every component gets a Tenifer finish, the same tough, corrosion-resistant treatment Canik uses across their slides and internals, so this thing holds up to sweat, holster wear, and range grime. The design is also reversible, so lefties can set it up for a comfortable, natural reach.

Dialing In the Fit

One of the best parts of this kit is that it isn't a one-size-deal. You get three extension pads in small, medium, and large, so you can tune exactly how far the button sticks out based on your hand size and how you like to release the mag. Bigger hands or gloved shooters tend to run the larger pad, while folks who want just a touch more reach can keep it subtle. Swapping pads takes a couple minutes with the included Allen wrench.

Fit and Install Notes

This assembly fits all TP9 and METE series pistols, including the TP9 SFx, TP9 Elite SC, the full METE SF and SFT lineup, and the SFx Rival and Rival-S. It does not fit the METE MC9. Installation is a straightforward drop-in for most people, though the detent spring can be a little fiddly, so take your time or hand it to a gunsmith if you'd rather not fight with small parts. Most folks have it swapped and running smooth reloads inside of fifteen minutes.
