Description

The Forster Bushing Bump Neck Sizing Die Kit gives 300 Win Mag handloaders real control over neck tension without overworking their brass. Instead of crushing the neck way down and then dragging it back open, this die sizes the neck only as much as the bushing you choose allows, then bumps the shoulder back just enough to keep proper headspace and smooth chambering. Decapping happens in the same stroke, so you're sizing, bumping, and depriming all in one pass.

What Sets the Forster Bushing Bump Kit Apart

The magic is in the bushing system. Forster offers interchangeable bushings in .001 inch increments, so you can fine-tune exactly how much grip the neck puts on your bullet. This kit ships with three bushings pre-selected by the Forster staff, sized .334, .332, and .330 inches, which covers the range most 300 Win Mag brass will need right out of the box. Sizing the neck down as little as necessary keeps your cases concentric, extends brass life, and helps you build more consistent, more accurate ammo.

Running the Die Your Way

One thing reloaders appreciate about Forster is where the expander ball sits. It rides high in the die, so the neck is still supported by the bushing when the ball passes through, which helps keep runout down. For folks who neck turn their brass to a uniform wall thickness, the expander ball lifts right out and you let the bushing set your tension on its own. If your brass isn't turned, leave the ball in and pick a bushing a touch larger so every case ends up with consistent inside diameter and even bullet grip.

Built to Last

These dies are hand polished to a smooth interior finish for silky sizing, machined to tight tolerances, and threaded 7/8-14 to drop into any standard press or a Forster Co-Ax. It's made in the U.S.A. and built to run through thousands of cycles without complaint, which is exactly what you want from a tool you'll lean on every loading session.

Frequently Asked Questions

What bushing sizes come with the 300 Win Mag Bushing Bump Kit?

This kit includes three bushings sized .334, .332, and .330 inches, pre-selected by the Forster staff to cover most 300 Win Mag brass. Because Forster bushings come in .001 inch increments, you can add others later to fine-tune neck tension for your specific brass and bullets.

Do I need to remove the expander ball to use this die?

No. If your brass isn't neck turned, leave the expander ball in and pick a bushing large enough that the ball finishes setting a consistent inside diameter. If you neck turn your brass to a uniform wall thickness, you can remove the ball and let the bushing set neck tension on its own.

Will this die fit a standard reloading press?

Yes. It uses standard 7/8-14 threads, so it drops into any common single stage press. It also works great in a Forster Co-Ax, where a shellholder isn't even required.

What's the benefit of a bushing bump die over a regular full-length die?

A bushing bump die sizes the neck only as much as needed while bumping the shoulder back just enough for proper headspace, rather than oversizing the case and working it open again. That means better concentricity, longer brass life, and the ability to tune neck tension by swapping bushings.
