The Bulldog BD810 Deluxe Padded Rifle Sling is one of those pieces of gear that just does its job without any fuss. It's a 1-inch nylon sling with a sewn-in padded section that spreads the weight of your rifle across your shoulder, which makes a real difference on longer walks or all-day hunts. Nothing fancy going on here, and that's exactly the point. You get durable webbing, a comfortable pad, and straps you can adjust in a hurry.
The padded pad is the star of the show. Bare nylon web slings dig in after a while, especially with a heavier rifle, and the padding on the BD810 keeps that pressure off your shoulder so you can carry longer before you start shifting it around. The quick-release straps are the other big draw. They let you loosen up or cinch down the length fast, whether you're slinging up for a shot, handing the rifle off, or just repacking at the end of the day.
This is a two-point sling that runs through your standard swivels, so you'll want a set of sling swivels on your rifle to hook it up. Once it's mounted, the adjustment is straightforward and the black nylon shrugs off weather, brush, and general knocking around in the field. Folks who've run these tend to point out that they go on easy and hold up well for a basic, dependable sling.
If you're outfitting a hunting rifle, a range gun, or a truck gun and you want reliable carry comfort without overthinking it, the BD810 is a sensible pick. It's simple, it's comfortable, and it gets your rifle off your hands and onto your shoulder where you want it.
No, the standard BD810 is the sling by itself and does not include swivels. Bulldog offers a separate version (BD810S) that comes with swivels if you need them. To mount this one, you'll want a set of standard 1-inch sling swivels installed on your rifle.
It's a 1-inch wide nylon sling, which keeps a slim, low-profile fit that works with most standard swivel setups. The padded section is what adds the shoulder comfort while the rest stays compact.
The sewn-in padding is the whole reason it's called Deluxe, and it spreads the rifle's weight so the webbing doesn't dig into your shoulder. It handles longer hunts and range days better than a plain web sling. For a heavier rifle you'll appreciate the extra cushioning.
Yes, it's designed as a general-purpose rifle sling and works with any rifle that has standard sling swivel studs. The quick-release straps let you adjust the length to your build and carry style, so it adapts to different setups easily.
