Tri-lug mounts have always been quick, but B&T took it a step further with the SQD9 Print-X RBS Compact. The Super Quick Disconnect system lets you press the can onto an in-spec tri-lug barrel and lock it with one hand, no tools, no fiddling. It comes off just as fast. If you run an APC9, SPC9, GHM9, MP5 or anything else wearing proper tri-lugs, mounting and dismounting this suppressor takes seconds, and it returns to the same position every time so your point of impact stays consistent.
The RBS in the name stands for Reduced Backpressure System, and it addresses the biggest complaint about suppressed 9mm subguns and PCCs: gas in your face. B&T includes both vented and non-vented endcaps in the box. Run the vented cap and the RBS design bleeds off gas up front, cutting blowback dramatically and keeping the cyclic rate close to stock in full-auto fire. Swap to the non-vented cap when you want every last bit of sound and flash reduction. Either way, performance stays comparable to a conventional suppressor, so you are not trading hearing protection for shooter comfort.
The Print-X part of the name refers to B&T's additive manufacturing process. This can is printed from Inconel 718, a nickel superalloy that laughs at heat and erosion, which is exactly what you want on a gun that gets run hard. The weldless printed construction allows internal baffle geometry you simply cannot machine the traditional way. At 8.11 inches long with a 1.73 inch diameter, the compact configuration keeps the front end of your subgun handy and balanced instead of nose heavy.
