B&T has been building suppressors since 1991, and the Stille 8.6 shows what happens when that experience meets modern additive manufacturing. This can was designed around bolt-action rifles first, with the 8.6 Blackout cartridge front and center, but it carries a caliber rating that stretches from .223 all the way up to .338 Lapua Magnum. That range makes it one of those rare cans that can jump from a lightweight hunting rig to a serious magnum precision rifle without breaking a sweat, and at 13.7 ounces it will not turn your rifle into a boat anchor while doing it.
The body is 3D-printed titanium, which keeps the weight down and lets B&T build internal geometry that simply is not possible with traditional machining. Where the heat and pressure hit hardest, an Inconel 718 blast insert and blast baffle take the abuse, resisting the erosion that wears out lesser cans running hot magnum loads. The weldless construction removes the usual failure points, and the whole package is rated for full-auto fire. If it can handle that, your bolt gun is not going to hurt it.
The rear thread is the industry-standard 1.375×24 HUB pattern, so you can run nearly any mounting system on the market, from direct thread adapters to quick-detach setups. B&T includes a 5/8×24 direct thread mount in the box, which covers most bolt guns and large-frame gas rifles right out of the gate. Wrench flats make installation and removal quick without fighting the can.
A lot of suppressors are tuned for one lane. The Stille 8.6 was engineered to perform with both subsonic and supersonic ammunition, which matters if you are running 8.6 Blackout and switching between heavy subs and full-power loads. At 8.7 inches long and 1.75 inches in diameter with a Type 2 anodized black finish, it balances well on a bolt gun and keeps things quiet whether you are at the bench or in the field.

Yes, it uses the industry-standard 1.375×24 TPI HUB interface, so it works with just about any HUB mounting system out there. B&T ships it with a 5/8×24 direct thread mount, which fits most bolt-action and large-frame gas rifles right out of the box. If you want a quick-detach setup later, swapping to a different HUB mount is easy.
Absolutely. While it was designed around bolt guns first, the Stille 8.6 is fully rated for gas-operated platforms and even full-auto fire. B&T recommends 14.5 inch and longer barrels for best results on carbines, though it will still perform on shorter setups.
B&T tuned this can to perform well with both, which is a big deal for 8.6 Blackout since that cartridge lives in both worlds. Heavy subsonic loads get impressively quiet, and supersonic magnum loads still see strong signature reduction. You will not need to pick one lane and stick with it.
