Since .300 Blackout was designed around the AR-15 platform, the Tyrant runs standard AR-15/STANAG pattern magazines, and one 30-rounder comes in the box. PMAGs and aluminum GI mags both work fine. Just be careful to keep your 300 Blackout mags clearly marked and separate from any 5.56 mags, since the rounds share the same magazine but not the same chamber.
The Tyrant's upper and lower are machined from solid blocks of 7075-T6 aluminum, which lets Black Rain cut the sharp, distinctive lines and tight tolerances the brand is known for. Billet receivers give a snug upper-to-lower fit and a look you just cannot get from a standard forging. Function-wise it is still fully AR pattern, so all your standard parts and accessories drop right in.
It is a solid pick for hogs and deer at moderate ranges. Supersonic .300 Blackout loads with quality expanding bullets hit noticeably harder than 5.56 out of the same size rifle, and the 16 inch free-floated barrel gives you the accuracy to make clean shots. The 12 inch M-LOK rail also makes it easy to add a light or sling for early morning stand hunts.
