The factory charging handle on the BRN-180 has an upswept, reciprocating shape that works, but it can crowd your optic mount and get in the way when you go to charge the rifle. KNS Precision built the BND 90 to fix exactly that. It swaps the awkward dog-leg profile for a straight, linear handle that pulls back clean without banging up your knuckles, and it folds down nearly flush against the side of the upper when you're done with it.
The linear shape is the big win here. Because it runs straight instead of sweeping up and over, it stays clear of optic mounts and bases that would otherwise fight the original handle. That means smoother press checks, easier first-round chambering, and no more fumbling around your glass to rack the gun.
KNS added a self-folding feature, so the handle does part of the work and settles back down against the receiver on its own after you cycle it. Folded flat, it makes the rifle noticeably easier to slide into a bag or case, and it stays put while shooting without rattling around. Owners who run support-side or shoot lefty tend to appreciate getting that hunk of metal out of the ejection path and tucked away.
