This is a two-piece system, and that matters. The inner liner is a fiberglass mesh sleeve rated to 2000 degrees Fahrenheit that sits directly against the can and does the brunt of the work. Over that goes the outer cover, made from aerospace-grade fire retardant materials including DuPont Kevlar rated to 1000 degrees in the black colorway. Because the inner sleeve is replaceable, the cover can keep serving long after most one-piece wraps would have given up. Beyond burn protection, the cover knocks down heat mirage so your optic or irons stay usable during strings of fire, and it cuts the IR glow a hot suppressor throws off under night vision.
