This is a nylon patch jag with four oversized petals that flex and compress as they enter the bore, pressing your patch out evenly against the barrel walls. The result is more patch surface touching more of the barrel, which means fouling comes out faster and you spend less time reaching for another patch.
The magic here is in those four petals. Each one has gripping rings molded into it that grab the patch and hold it tight, so nothing bunches up or slides loose halfway down the barrel. Because the petals collapse under pressure, this jag will squeeze right through a choke tube, fixed or removable, without you having to pull the choke first. Spike a patch onto the tip and send it down the bore. That is about all there is to it.
This jag is cut for the 20 gauge and rides a standard 5/16-27 thread, so it screws onto just about any common shotgun cleaning rod you already own.
