Instead of trying to force a brush or cotton roll through tight spaces, their patented molded rubber wiper flexes to conform perfectly to your action walls. You simply spike a 2.5-inch patch over the wiper and run it through the lugs and action. The wiper bends with your rifle's internal geometry rather than fighting it, which means you clean more surface area in less time.
The centerpiece is a 20-inch polished stainless steel rod that keeps your handle safely behind the stock, preventing contact with your cheek piece during cleanup. A polymer rod collar centers the rod and protects delicate action components from any accidental damage. The kit includes a medium chamber mop for the final cleanup inside your chamber, plus a pack of Bore Tech's X-Count cotton patches sized specifically for the bolt action wiper. Everything ships in a clear plastic tube with a hang hole so you can store it however works best for your bench or range bag.
This kit is built for the most popular 2-lug centerfire bolt actions. If your rifle has that standard 0.695 to 0.700-inch bolt body diameter, it'll work with your gun. That covers most Remingtons, Winchesters, Rugers, Brownings, Savages, and custom actions built on common platforms. If you need compatibility with 3-lug actions or less common bolt sizes, Bore Tech sells alternative wipers separately.

The kit comes with 2.5-inch round Bore Tech X-Count patches specifically sized for the molded rubber wiper. These work best because of how they conform to the wiper's shape. While you could experiment with other quality cotton patches in a pinch, the included size is engineered for optimal coverage and cleaning performance.
No barrel removal required. The patented molded wiper and 20-inch rod are designed to access your action, chamber, and locking lug recess with your barrel still attached. The only way to get even deeper cleaning would be to pull the barrel, but this kit handles the areas that matter most during routine maintenance.
How often depends on how much you shoot. For casual range trips, maybe once a season is fine. If you're competing or shooting regularly, many competitive shooters use it between matches or every few range sessions.
