There are .22 LR pistols, and then there is the TacOps PK. Blue Line Solutions took the ergonomics and controls of a full-size PDW platform and scaled it down into a rimfire package that is genuinely fun to shoot. The 5-inch cold hammer-forged steel barrel delivers solid accuracy out of the gate, and the CNC-machined aluminum receiver keeps the weight manageable at right around 5 pounds without the drum attached.
The controls are set up well. You get an ambidextrous safety selector, a left-side charging handle, and a built-in stock/brace adapter on the rear of the receiver that opens up some future customization options. The full-length Picatinny rail on top handles optics from a basic red dot to a compact magnified sight, and there is additional rail space on the frame for lights, lasers, or whatever else you want to run. Flip-up sights come standard so you are ready to shoot right out of the box.
What separates this particular kit from the standard TacOps PK models is the magazine pairing. You get a 22-round stick magazine for more traditional shooting sessions, plus a 110-round drum when you want to really let loose. Burning through 110 rounds of .22 LR without a mag change is exactly as fun as it sounds, and it makes this setup genuinely useful for extended training blocks or high-volume range days where centerfire ammo costs would add up fast.
The black anodized finish on the barrel and the overall black aluminum frame give it a clean, tactical look that matches the PDW-inspired design. If you are someone who enjoys running fundamentals drills, training new shooters, or just knocking tin cans around for an afternoon, the TacOps PK kit covers all of those bases without putting a huge dent in your ammo budget.
This version (MPN 4150060) ships with both a 22-round stick magazine and a 110-round drum magazine, while other TacOps PK configurations come with one or two standard 22-round mags. The drum gives you the option to run a massive round count between reloads, which is a big part of why this kit exists.
The TacOps PK has a built-in stock and brace adapter on the rear of the receiver, so it is designed to accept compatible accessories. Blue Line Solutions also sells a dedicated TacOps stock adapter separately. Any stock or brace addition would need to be done in accordance with applicable federal rules.
The full-length Picatinny top rail gives you a lot of flexibility. A compact red dot or micro reflex sight is the most popular choice and keeps the platform lightweight and quick on target. If you want a bit more reach for longer range plinking, a low-power variable optic in the 1-4x range works well too.
.22 LR drums generally perform best with higher-velocity loads rather than standard or subsonic ammunition. Using quality bulk ammo from reputable brands will give you the most consistent feeding experience. Like any high-capacity rimfire drum, keeping it clean and properly wound goes a long way toward reliable function.
The PDW-style ergonomics, low recoil of .22 LR, and the accessory rail setup make it well suited for running drills and building fundamentals without the noise and cost of centerfire ammo. The ambidextrous controls and left-side charging handle mean both right and left-handed shooters can work with it comfortably.
