The heart of the rifle is a fully CNC-machined 6061 T6 billet aluminum receiver paired with a billet aluminum trigger housing. That means tighter tolerances than cast or forged alternatives and a noticeably more solid, refined feel in your hands. The integrated Picatinny optics rail is machined right into the receiver top, so there is no separate base to deal with and nothing to shift around under recoil.
The 18" barrel is made from 4150V chromoly steel and threaded 1/2×28 at the muzzle, protected by an included thread protector. That threading makes it suppressor-ready right out of the box. The trigger breaks at a clean 3.5 lbs from a fully machined billet housing, and it features minimum take-up and a crisp break. Internally, the bolt and charging handle components are machined from 17-4 stainless steel, the rifle runs dual bolt rails and springs, and the non-interference striker design makes it dry-fire safe without any additional modifications.
The Magpul Hunter X-22 stock is one of the best chassis options available for this platform.
