The Vickers 221 takes everything that made the standard Vickers Combat Applications Sling a benchmark and adds true convertibility. Instead of committing to one carry style, you get both. Drop the front swivel into the Burnsed Socket at the rear of the receiver and you're running a one-point setup for tight spaces or vehicle work. Pop it back out and you're back to a stable two-point carry. The transition happens in seconds without breaking your grip, and the full range of adjustment stays live in either mode.
The heart of this sling is the polymer Burnsed Socket paired with a push button QD swivel. It fits any weapon with two QD sling swivel sockets, with the rear socket toward the end of the receiver. For platforms with rear eyelets instead of a QD socket, like SCARs, Sigs, and HKs, you can add a Universal Wire Loop with push button socket, sold separately. The 1.25-inch webbing is Invista solution-dyed Cordura, which holds its color and shrugs off hard use.
The patented Quick Adjuster is the feature that keeps this sling relevant in the real world. One firm pull and you can cinch the rifle tight to your chest or let it hang comfortably for a long walk, no tail to manage and no springs or moving parts to fail. That means you can size it for a plate carrier one minute and a t-shirt the next. This model runs the DuPont Zytel nylon hardware, the same setup that ships to much of the US military, and it's lighter and quieter than metal while staying easy on anodized and Cerakoted finishes.
