The Birchwood Casey MSB300 solves a problem every range regular knows well: getting set up, comfortable, and then wanting to shoot a target off to the side. Because both the seat and the bench top spin a full 360 degrees, you just pivot to whatever lane you want instead of dragging your whole setup around. It sits on a three-legged steel base that keeps things planted, and the whole rig weighs about 38 pounds, so it's solid without being a two-person carry.
Comfort is where this bench earns its keep. The seat measures 12 inches wide by 14 inches deep with a thick 2-inch cushion, and the 29-inch square top wears a padded vinyl cover with extended armrests. That combination matters more than it sounds when you're spending a whole afternoon load-testing or sighting in. The gun rest up front is adjustable and wrapped in a non-scratch rubber coating, so you can dial in height for different rifles or shotguns without chewing up your stock.
Two built-in shell and gear pouches give you a spot for ammo, tools, or a rangefinder right where you can reach them. It's a small touch, but it keeps you from setting gear on the ground or making trips back to the truck. The bench is rated to hold up to 300 pounds, so it handles most adults with room to spare, and the black steel frame is built to shrug off regular outdoor use.
Whether you're breaking in a new hunting rifle, running drills, or just plinking with friends, the swivel action turns a static bench into something a lot more useful. For anyone who wants one seat that covers every angle, this Birchwood Casey bench is a smart pick.
Both the seat and the bench top rotate a full 360 degrees independently, so you can turn toward any target without repositioning the whole bench. This gives you unlimited shooting lanes from a single setup. It's especially handy at ranges with multiple target stands or when you're moving between distances.
The bench is rated to support up to 300 pounds, which covers the vast majority of adult shooters with margin to spare. The steel tripod frame keeps everything stable during use. The bench itself weighs about 38 pounds.
No. The gun rest is wrapped in a non-scratch rubber coating that protects your stock and forearm from marring. It's also adjustable, so you can set the height to match different firearms and get a comfortable, stable rest.
Yes, comfort is one of its strong points. The 2-inch thick padded seat, padded vinyl bench top, and extended armrests are all designed to cut down on fatigue during extended time at the range. Two gear pouches also keep your ammo and tools within reach so you're not constantly getting up.
