The Birchwood Casey Dirty Bird 17.25" Bullseye is built for people who want to stop guessing where their rounds are landing. When a bullet punches through, the black coating flakes away and leaves a bright white ring around the hole. That halo shows up clearly against the dark background, which means you can spot your groups from the bench without hiking downrange after every string. The big 17.25" face makes it a natural fit for rifle work out past 100 yards, and it holds up just as well for pistol practice up close.
Standard paper targets leave you squinting or reaching for a spotting scope. The Dirty Bird's high-contrast white splatter does the heavy lifting for you, so reading a group is quick and obvious. That black and white contrast is genuinely useful when you're trying to diagnose whether you're pulling shots or your zero has drifted. It's the kind of feedback that makes a range session more productive.
These aren't flimsy sheets. The heavy tagboard construction stands up to repeated hanging and handling, and it works equally well at an indoor lane or stapled to a backer out in the field. The back is non-adhesive, so you can mount it however your setup calls for, write notes right on the face, and tuck it away afterward to compare progress down the road.
Each pack comes with five 17.25" bullseye targets. It's a handy amount for a solid afternoon of load development, sighting in a new scope, or just running drills with a buddy. If you shoot regularly and like being able to see your hits without the extra legwork, these earn their spot in the range bag.
When a bullet passes through, the black surface coating flakes away and exposes a bright white ring around the hole. That halo stands out sharply against the dark face, so you can see where your rounds landed from the firing line. It saves you the trip downrange and often means you don't need a spotting scope to read a group.
The large 17.25" face makes it a strong pick for rifle shooting at longer distances, and plenty of folks use it for sighting in or load development out past 100 yards. That said, it works just fine for pistol practice up close too. The bigger size just gives you more room to work and more contrast to read.
Yes. The back is non-adhesive, so you can staple, clip, or hang them however your range setup allows. You can also write notes directly on the face and store them later to track your progress or compare loads over time.
They do. The heavy tagboard holds up well and the splatter effect shows up clearly under indoor lighting or out in the sun. That makes them a versatile option whether you shoot at a covered lane or an outdoor backer.
