The Blackhawk Inside-the-Pants Holster in Size 5 is one of those no-nonsense carry rigs that just works. It's cut for sub-compact pistols like the Glock 26, 27, and 33, along with other small 9mm and .40 caliber guns in that footprint. The outer shell is a suede-like laminate that's soft against your side, while the inside runs a smooth nylon lining so your draw comes out clean every time. This is a right-hand, open-top design, so there's no snap or strap to fumble with when you want your pistol out fast.
Comfort is the whole point of tucking a gun inside the waistband, and this one keeps things thin and lightweight. The multi-layer laminate construction includes a moisture barrier that helps keep sweat off your pistol, which matters if you carry in warm weather or for long stretches. The suede-like exterior grips the inside of your pants and helps anchor the holster in place, so it stays put when you reach for the gun instead of coming out with it.
The belt clip slides over the top of your pants or belt and works with standard-width pants belts. It's an easy on, easy off setup that makes it simple to move the holster around your waistline to find your sweet spot, whether you run it strong-side or a little more toward appendix. Keep in mind the clip is sized for everyday pants belts, so a thick, rigid gun belt may be more than it's built for.
For folks carrying a Glock 26, 27, 33, or a similar small frame who want something low-profile and genuinely comfortable without spending big, this Blackhawk earns its spot in the lineup. It's a proven, lightweight option that tucks away nicely under a shirt and keeps your draw quick.
Size 5 is cut for sub-compact pistols like the Glock 26, 27, and 33, plus other small-frame 9mm and .40 caliber guns in that same footprint. If your pistol is close in size to a sub-compact Glock, it'll likely drop right in. When in doubt, compare your barrel length and slide dimensions to a Glock 26 to confirm the fit.
This one is a right-hand draw holster, meaning it's built to carry on your right side for a right-handed draw. Blackhawk makes a left-hand version of the Inside-the-Pants line separately, so if you're a southpaw you'll want to look for that model instead.
No, this is the open-top version with no snap or strap. It relies on the snug fit of your waistband and the suede-like outer shell to hold the pistol in place, which keeps your draw fast and simple. If you prefer an added strap for extra security, Blackhawk offers a strap version of this holster as well.
The belt clip is designed to slip over standard-width pants belts, so an everyday dress or casual belt pairs with it nicely. A thick, rigid tactical gun belt can be too much for the clip to grab onto securely, so a normal-width belt is the way to go for the most reliable hold.
