Berger's 130 grain AR Hybrid OTM Tactical is one of those bullets handloaders keep coming back to, and for good reason. It uses Berger's hybrid ogive, which blends tangent and secant nose shapes into a single profile that cuts wind drift while staying easy to tune. The real payoff for reloaders is how forgiving it is on seating depth. You don't have to chase the lands by a thousandth of an inch to find a good group, which makes load development far less of a headache.
This bullet rides a .264 diameter, measures 1.295 overall, and carries a G1 BC of 0.560 and a G7 of 0.287. The open tip match construction and J4 Target Jacket are where the accuracy comes from. Those jackets are held to extremely tight tolerances, so weight and wall thickness stay consistent from one bullet to the next. That concentricity is what keeps flyers to a minimum and helps the whole box print the same. The boat tail base keeps things stable through the transonic window, which matters when you're stretching things out past 800.
Reloaders have had great luck across a wide spread of powders. H4350 is a longtime favorite in the 6.5 Creedmoor, with plenty of folks landing in the 2,800 to 2,960 fps range depending on barrel length. Others run StaBall 6.5, CFE223, Reloder 16, or the Vihtavuori N5 series with excellent results.
