These are built on J4 Precision jackets, which carry a Total Indicated Runout of +/- .0001 and some seriously tight manufacturing tolerances. That concentricity is the whole story with a target bullet. When the jacket is that true, the bullet balances better under high rotational speed, and that shows up on paper as smaller, more repeatable groups. The lead core and copper jacket construction is nothing exotic, just done to an exacting standard.
Berger uses a tangent ogive on this bullet, and that's good news if you've ever fought with a finicky VLD seating depth.
