Bergara built its name on barrels, and the B-14 Sierra Wilderness is a good reminder of why. This one wears a 20 inch No. 5 taper 4140 chrome-moly barrel with deep fluting to trim weight, a 1:8 twist that stabilizes the heavy-for-caliber bullets 6mm Creedmoor loves, and a 5/8×24 threaded muzzle wearing an Omni brake from the factory. Spin the brake off and you're ready for a suppressor. The whole works, barrel, receiver, and fluted bolt, is coated in Sniper Gray Cerakote, which is about as good as it gets for shrugging off wet weather on a multi-day hunt.
The Sierra is the adjustable one in the Wilderness lineup. The synthetic SoftTouch stock, dressed in Wilderness Camo with black webbing, has an adjustable cheek comb you can dial in with a flush-mounted Allen screw so your eye lines up behind the scope naturally every time you shoulder it. It also ships with quarter-inch spacers to fine-tune length of pull, and the grip is a touch more vertical than a traditional sporter for better trigger hand placement. Rounds feed from a 4+1 internal magazine with a hinged floorplate, and the M5 bottom metal cutout means you can convert to AICS detachable mags down the road if that suits your style.
The 6 Creedmoor is a sweetheart to shoot. It's flat, fast, and easy on the shoulder, which makes it a favorite for deer, antelope, and coyotes at distance. Pair that mild recoil with the Bergara Performance trigger and the buttery two-lug B-14 action, and follow-up shots come quick. At 7.2 pounds bare, it carries well without being so light that it gets jumpy off the bench.
Bergara backs the B-14 line with a sub-MOA guarantee using quality factory match ammo, and in our experience these rifles tend to beat that number with loads they like. The receiver is drilled and tapped for Remington 700 pattern bases, so scope mounting options are everywhere. Yes. The 20 inch barrel is threaded 5/8×24, which is the standard pattern for most .30 caliber and smaller suppressors. Just remove the included Omni muzzle brake and thread on your can. The shorter 20 inch barrel keeps overall length manageable with a suppressor attached.
