An adjustable comb lets you set your cheek height so your eye lines up behind the scope naturally, and quarter-inch length-of-pull spacers fine tune the fit from there. The grip sits a bit more vertical than a traditional sporter, which puts your trigger hand in a more relaxed, repeatable position. Add the SoftTouch finish and Wilderness camo pattern with black webbing, and you have a stock that feels as good as it looks.
Bergara's reputation started with barrels, and the Sierra Wilderness carries a good one. The 20-inch 4140 chrome-moly barrel wears a No. 5 taper with deep fluting to trim weight and help it cool between shots, and it's finished in Sniper Gray Cerakote along with the action for serious weather resistance. The muzzle is threaded 5/8×24 and topped with an Omni muzzle brake that takes real bite out of .308 recoil, and it spins right off if you'd rather run a suppressor. A 1:10 twist stabilizes the heavier .308 bullets most hunters reach for.
The B-14 action is smooth and dependable, using a two-lug bolt with a sliding plate extractor and coned bolt nose for reliable feeding and extraction even with cold hands and gloves. The Performance Trigger breaks clean, and the receiver comes drilled and tapped so mounting glass is simple. Capacity is 4+1 through a hinged floorplate, and the M5 bottom metal cutout means you can convert to detachable AICS-pattern magazines down the road with a separate kit.
