Carbon fiber rifles are everywhere these days, but plenty of them shave weight in ways that hurt how the gun shoots. The Cima CF takes a smarter route. Bergara built it around an RTM carbon fiber sporter stock, made with a resin transfer molding process that squeezes out excess resin so you get a stock that weighs around 18 ounces yet stays remarkably stiff. Grab the fore-end and push, and it barely moves, which is something no injection-molded polymer stock can claim. Inside, an SMC carbon mini chassis gives the action a solid, repeatable bedding surface without piling weight back on. The result is the lightest rifle in the entire B-14 family, right around 6 pounds and 40 inches overall.
The 25 Creedmoor chambering is where this rifle gets interesting. The 20 inch CURE carbon fiber barrel runs a fast 1:7.5 twist, which is exactly what you need to stabilize the heavy, high-BC .25 caliber bullets this cartridge was designed around. That combination gives you flat trajectories and strong retained energy at ranges where older quarter-bores run out of steam, all in a package light enough to carry up a ridge without complaint. The muzzle comes threaded 5/8×24 with an Omni brake installed, so recoil on this featherweight stays mild and you can spot your own hits.
Feeding comes from a 4 round internal magazine with a hinged M5 floorplate, so unloading at the truck is quick and there is no detachable mag to lose in the snow. The spiral fluted bolt cycles smooth, the Bergara Performance Trigger breaks clean and adjusts to your liking, and a simple two-position safety keeps operation intuitive. The receiver is drilled and tapped for Remington 700 pattern bases, so mounting glass is about as easy as it gets. Bergara even includes quarter inch spacers to adjust length of pull for a proper fit.
This is the rifle for the hunter who counts ounces but refuses to give up accuracy. Black metalwork over a grey sponge-pattern carbon stock keeps it looking as sharp as it shoots.
