Instead of simply wrapping carbon around a steel blank, Bergara engineered the two materials to manage heat together, so the barrel stays stiff and holds its point of impact as strings get longer. The muzzle comes threaded 5/8×24 with Bergara's Omni muzzle brake installed, so you can tame what little recoil a .22-250 makes or spin on a suppressor. A fluted bolt keeps the action running smooth and sheds a bit more weight, the Bergara Performance Trigger breaks clean and adjusts from roughly 2 to 4 pounds, and the receiver is drilled and tapped for Remington 700 pattern bases, which opens up nearly every scope mount on the market. Feeding comes from a 4+1 internal magazine with a hinged floorplate, keeping the belly of the rifle slick for carry.
