This is Beretta's top-shelf waterfowl gun, and the 20 gauge version gives you all of that pedigree in a lighter, quicker-handling package. The KO in the name refers to Beretta's Kick-Off system, which uses hydraulic dampers built into the stock along with a Micro-Core recoil pad and soft comb to soak up recoil before it ever reaches your shoulder or cheek. Pair that with the naturally milder push of a 20 gauge and you've got a gun you can shoot heavy all season without dreading the next volley.
The 28 inch Steelium Plus barrel is the same technology Beretta developed for its competition guns, with a lengthened forcing cone that smooths out the recoil impulse and delivers consistently even patterns with a wide range of hunting loads. The 3 inch chamber handles everything from light 2 3/4 inch practice loads to stout 3 inch waterfowl payloads, and modern high-density nontoxic shot has made the 20 gauge a genuinely capable duck and goose round. Up top, a stepped vent rib carries a fiber optic front bead and steel mid-bead for a clean, repeatable sight picture in dim light.
Beretta borrowed from the competition world here, adding an extended charging handle, oversized bolt release, and an enlarged loading port so you can run the gun with cold, gloved hands. The Blink gas system cycles remarkably fast and stays reliable when conditions turn ugly, while the OD green synthetic stock and weather-resistant metal treatment shrug off rain, mud, and salt spray. The receiver is drilled and tapped if you ever want to add an optic, and stock shims let you dial in the fit.
For hunters who want a soft-shooting, fast-cycling autoloader that carries lighter than a 12 gauge without giving up much in the field, this one is hard to beat.
This is about as gentle as a hunting autoloader gets. Yes. This 20 gauge model has a 3 inch chamber and runs both 2 3/4 inch and 3 inch shells. With today's high-density nontoxic shot options, a 3 inch 20 gauge is a legitimate duck and goose setup, and the Steelium Plus barrel's lengthened forcing cone helps it pattern those loads consistently.
You can. The receiver comes drilled and tapped from the factory, so adding a rail and red dot for turkey hunting or other work is straightforward. Out of the box, the stepped vent rib with fiber optic front bead and steel mid-bead gives you an excellent sight picture without any add-ons.
