The 92XI is Beretta's most significant evolution of the classic 92 platform in years, and the Splinter Camo Foreign Combat Series version adds a story worth telling. The Splinter pattern is drawn directly from Sweden's M90 uniform system, a hard-edged geometric camouflage developed for temperate Scandinavian terrain and eventually adopted across the entire Swedish Armed Forces by the late 1990s. What makes this particular pistol stand apart is that the finish is hand-painted by Howe Arms, a veteran-owned company founded by Richard Howe, a two-tour Army combat veteran. Every pistol comes out slightly different, which means what you're holding is genuinely one of a kind.
Under that finish is a legitimately upgraded pistol. The big headline on the 92XI is the frame-mounted ambidextrous safety, something Beretta fans had been asking for over the slide-mounted design for decades. It sits right where your thumb falls naturally, and the ergonomics of the Vertec-style frame make the whole gun feel slimmer and more intuitive than a traditional 92FS. The checkered front and backstraps with enhanced grip panel texturing give you real purchase even when things get sweaty.
The X-treme S trigger is single-action only with DLC-coated components and a skeletonized hammer. The flat-faced trigger breaks consistently and the DLC coating keeps the action running smooth. You carry it cocked and locked, just like a 1911, and every trigger pull from the first round to the last feels the same. The optic-ready slide is cut for MRDS mounting so you can run a red dot without any gunsmith work, and a fiber optic front sight handles iron-sight duties nicely in the meantime. A 3-slot Picatinny rail up front gives you room for a light or laser if you want to run the gun hard.

Yes. The slide is already cut with Beretta's MRDS footprint, so mounting a compatible red dot just requires removing the factory cover plate and installing the appropriate mounting plate for your specific optic. No slide milling or aftermarket modifications are needed. Note that optic mounting plates are sold separately.
