There are plenty of 92 variants out there, but this one has a story behind it. The 92XI American Combat series is a limited-edition collaboration between Beretta and Howe Arms, a company founded by Richard Howe, a two-tour Army combat veteran. Each pistol in the series is hand-painted by a disabled veteran artist, which means every DCU Cerakote finish comes out a little different, like a fingerprint. This particular pattern is a nod to the three-color Desert Camouflage Uniform worn by U.S. forces from the mid-1990s into the early 2010s, and it looks sharp draped over the familiar lines of a 92 slide and frame.
The XI is the single-action-only branch of the 92 family, and it changes the shooting experience in a big way. Instead of the slide-mounted decocker most 92 fans know, you get a frame-mounted ambidextrous safety positioned right where your thumb wants it, so you can run it cocked and locked like a 1911. The X-TREME S flat-faced trigger uses DLC-coated components and a lightweight skeletonized hammer, giving you a clean, consistent break shot after shot. Add the Vertec-style straight backstrap, checkered frame, and aggressive grip panel texturing, and this pistol stays planted through fast strings.
The serrated slide is cut for MRDS mounting, so you can drop on a red dot when you are ready, and the fiber optic front sight makes irons quick to pick up in the meantime. A three-slot Picatinny rail up front handles lights and lasers without fuss. The 4.7 inch barrel and full-size aluminum frame bring the unloaded weight to 33.3 ounces, enough heft to soak up 9mm recoil and keep follow-up shots tight.
This one works two ways. It is a genuinely capable range and competition pistol thanks to that SAO trigger, and it is also a limited-run collectible tied to a cause worth supporting. It ships with two 10-round magazines, and once these are gone, they are gone.

The biggest change is the action. The 92XI is single-action only with a frame-mounted ambidextrous safety, so you carry it cocked and locked instead of using the 92FS-style slide-mounted decocker. It also gets the flat-faced X-TREME S trigger with DLC-coated components, a skeletonized hammer, and a Vertec-style straight backstrap, all of which add up to a lighter, more consistent trigger pull.
This SKU ships with two 10-round magazines for a 10+1 total capacity. The 92XI uses standard Beretta 92 pattern magazines, which are widely available if you want spares.
