The BCM Gunfighter Vertical Grip Mod 3 is one of those small upgrades that punches way above its size. Built by Bravo Company's engineering team, it's an ultra-light take on their popular short vertical grip, purpose-built to attach directly to a 1913 Picatinny rail. At just 1.9 ounces, it adds real hand-to-weapon control without weighing down the front of your rifle or throwing off your balance.
Most grips on the market rely on a simple screw and backing nut, which can let the accessory shift or flex over time. BCM went a different route with their patented Direct Mount interface (U.S. Patent 9,709,358). An internal anchor spreads recoil energy across the whole grip instead of loading it all onto one screw, so you get a rock-solid lockup with no play against the rail. Install is straightforward with a T15 Torx driver: extend the anchor, slide the grip onto your rail where you want it, engage the recoil lug into the grooves, and torque it down to roughly 40 inch-pounds.
The forward angle is the whole point here. It stiffens up your forearm and puts your wrist in a more natural position, which pays off during longer strings and fast transitions. Prefer a more aggressive setup? Flip it around and run it in reverse to bite down harder when you're gripping both the handguard and the grip together. The flat sides carry an aggressive texture that gives you positive yaw control whether you're firing or just manipulating the rifle, and plenty of folks report it holds up fine even when your hands are wet.
The Mod 3 is molded from high-quality, impact-resistant polymer and made right here in the United States. Its low-profile length keeps snag points to a minimum, making it a clean, no-nonsense choice for AR-15 platforms, PCCs like the MPX, and just about anything wearing a Picatinny rail up front. It's a favorite for good reason, and it's an easy way to finish off a build.
This version is built specifically for 1913 Picatinny rails and forends. It uses BCM's Direct Mount interface, which slides onto the rail and locks the recoil lug into the grooves for a tight, no-play fit. If your handguard runs M-LOK instead, you'll want the M-LOK version of the Mod 3.
Yes. The grip ships with a forward angle that gives you a natural wrist position, but you can flip it and run it in reverse for a more aggressive orientation. A lot of folks reverse it to get a stronger bite when they're clamping the handguard and grip together. It comes down to personal preference and how you shoot.
You'll need a T15 Torx driver, which isn't included in the package.
