This is Bravo Company's complete lower receiver group in Flat Dark Earth, and it's the version built around their MK2 Recoil Mitigation System paired with the Mod 0 SOPMOD wide-body stock. It ships as a factory blem, meaning there's a small cosmetic mark somewhere on the anodizing that kept it from the A-shelf. Function and internals are the same BCM parts you'd find on a full-price lower, so this is the kind of blem that just saves you money without costing you anything that matters on the range.
The receiver is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum forgings and hardcoat anodized to a mil-spec finish, then loaded with the BCM small parts that make their lowers worth the money. You get the BCM PNT trigger with its polished nickel Teflon coating, the enhanced trigger guard for gloved hands, a BCM Gunfighter pistol grip, and a QD end plate on a staked castle nut. Fire controls are marked SAFE and SEMI, and the receiver is set up with a low shelf. It's cut for multi-caliber use, so it plays nicely with .223 Rem, 5.56 NATO, and any upper built on the standard AR platform.
The headline here is the buffer system. The MK2 receiver extension runs about three-quarters of an inch longer than a carbine tube and uses an M16A4 rifle spring with more coils, which smooths out buffer travel and evens out carrier velocity. In plain terms, that means less felt recoil, reduced bolt bounce, and a flatter-shooting gun that gets you back on target quicker. It shines on shorter barrels and suppressed setups where a standard carbine system can feel snappy.
The Mod 0 SOPMOD stock is the wide-body design, so it gives you a fuller, more pronounced cheekweld that a lot of people find more comfortable and steadier behind glass. It sits on the intermediate-length tube, so you keep carbine-style adjustability with a touch more length of pull. All you need to finish this out is a complete upper and a magazine, and you've got a rifle. It's a no-nonsense foundation for a defensive build, a training gun, or a competition rifle where you want everything to just work.
The blem is a cosmetic mark on the anodizing, usually a small blemish or finish flaw that kept it from BCM's first-quality line. The internals, machining, and function are identical to a full-price lower, so it's mechanically the same receiver. It's a good way to save some money if you care more about performance than a perfect finish.
MK2 RMS stands for BCM's Recoil Mitigation System. It uses an intermediate-length receiver extension roughly three-quarters of an inch longer than a carbine tube along with an M16A4 rifle spring to smooth out buffer travel. The result is reduced felt recoil, less bolt bounce, and more consistent cycling, which helps you get back on target faster.
This is a complete lower, so it already has the trigger group, grip, stock, and buffer system installed. You'll need to add a complete upper receiver with a bolt carrier group and charging handle, plus a magazine. Once your upper is pinned on, you've got a functioning firearm.
The Mod 0 SOPMOD is BCM's wide-body stock and it rides on the MK2 intermediate-length tube that comes with this lower. Because that tube is a bit longer than a standard carbine tube, some mil-spec stocks may not collapse all the way closed, but the included BCM stock is set up to work with it. The wide-body design gives you a fuller cheekweld that many find steadier behind an optic.
