This is BCM's complete lower receiver group with the MK2 Recoil Mitigation System and the Mod 0 SOPMOD wide-body stock, wearing a factory cosmetic blem. The blem is a surface flaw only, usually a small mark in the anodizing or a light cosmetic imperfection, and it has zero effect on how the lower runs. If you want a duty-grade foundation for your next AR build and would rather put your money into function than a flawless finish, this is a smart way to get there.
The standout here is the MK2 Recoil Mitigation System, which is BCM's take on the intermediate A5-style buffer setup. It uses a receiver extension roughly three quarters of an inch longer than a standard carbine tube, paired with a longer M16A4 rifle spring and a heavier buffer. That combination spreads the load over more spring coils and slows the bolt carrier down, which smooths out the cycle and cuts felt recoil. The real-world payoff is that you stay on target through the optic and get faster follow-up shots, and the rifle becomes less picky about ammo, gas length, and running suppressed. This lower ships with the T0 buffer weight, a solid all-around starting point at around 3.8 ounces.
The Mod 0 SOPMOD stock is the wide-body design with a more pronounced cheek weld that helps with a consistent sight picture and comfort behind the gun. It has a snag-free profile with no sharp edges to catch on slings or gear, plus ambidextrous QD sling sockets and a VBOST tab for stowing your sling. Underneath, you get the parts that earn BCM its reputation: a forged 7075-T6 receiver with Type III hardcoat anodizing, the BCM PNT trigger with a nickel Teflon finish, the enhanced polymer trigger guard for gloved hands, a BCM Gunfighter grip, and a QD end plate with a staked castle nut.
Marked SAFE and SEMI, multi-caliber rated, and ready to pin to any mil-spec upper, this lower is a no-nonsense base for a defense gun, a training rifle, or a competition build.
A blem is a cosmetic imperfection, typically a small mark or minor flaw in the anodized finish that didn't pass BCM's strict visual inspection. It's a surface-only issue and does not affect fit, function, or durability. You get the exact same components and performance at a lower cost.
Because the MK2 receiver extension is about three quarters of an inch longer than a standard carbine tube, some stocks may not collapse all the way to the lock nut. The Mod 0 SOPMOD is designed to work with this system and adjusts through its length-of-pull positions as expected. It's a slight difference in fully collapsed length, not a fitment problem.
It's a complete lower group, so the fire control components, trigger, grip, trigger guard, stock, and buffer system are all installed at the factory. You just pin it to a mil-spec upper receiver and you have a running rifle. No lower parts kit or assembly work required.
The receiver is marked Multi so it isn't tied to a single cartridge, and the PNT trigger is un-notched for 9mm compatibility. Most builders pair it with a .223 Rem or 5.56 NATO upper, but it will run whatever your chosen AR-15 upper is chambered in. The lower itself does not dictate the caliber.
