When you're building an AR and want a lower that just works, this is the kind of piece that takes the guesswork out of it. This is a complete BCM lower receiver assembly wearing the newer Mod 3 stock, finished in Flat Dark Earth, and sold as a factory blem. That blem tag means it left the shop with a minor cosmetic flaw somewhere on the finish, but the receiver and all the internals meet the same standard as any other BCM lower. Machined from 7075-T6 aluminum forgings and hardcoat anodized to MIL-A-8625F Type III Class 2, it's built to the tolerances BCM is known for.
The furniture package is where this thing earns its keep. The Mod 3 stock is a slimmed-down, snag-free design at roughly 6.4 ounces with double-walled H-beam construction, and it accepts friction-fit marksman risers for dialing in your cheek weld when running optics or night vision. Up front you get a BCMGUNFIGHTER pistol grip with a reduced angle for better trigger reach, plus the BCM enhanced trigger guard that leaves room for gloved hands in cold weather.
The fire control group is the BCM PNT trigger, which stands for polished nickel Teflon. It runs smooth and consistent, and because it's un-notched it plays nice with 9mm builds if you go that route down the road. You also get a staked M4 lock nut, a USGI H buffer with one tungsten and two steel weights, a QD sling mount end plate, and a low shelf machined for RDIAS or Accuwedge use. Fire controls are marked SAFE and SEMI.
The caliber is marked Multi, so it pairs with just about any standard AR-15 upper you want to run, whether that's a 5.56 range gun, a lightweight 300 BLK, or a pistol-caliber setup. Snap on your upper of choice and you've got the foundation for a serious rifle. The whole thing is made in the USA, which is exactly what you'd expect from a BCM part.
A blem is a receiver that shipped with a minor cosmetic imperfection, usually a small mark or inconsistency in the anodized finish. It does not affect how the lower performs or functions in any way. You're getting the same BCM build quality and internals, just without the flawless cosmetic finish, which is why it comes at a better value.
The lower is marked Multi, meaning it's not tied to a single cartridge. It will accept standard AR-15 pattern uppers, so you can run 5.56 NATO, .223, 300 BLK, and other common chamberings depending on the upper and barrel you pair with it. The un-notched PNT trigger even keeps you compatible with 9mm pistol-caliber builds.
Yes, the Mod 3 is the newer refinement of BCM's stock line, slimmed down to about 6.4 ounces with a snag-free profile and double-walled H-beam construction. It accepts friction-fit marksman risers that mount in several positions and can be flipped forward or reverse. That lets you set a consistent cheek weld when running electro-optics, LPVOs, or a night vision setup.
This is a complete lower assembly, so the fire control group, buffer, stock, and grip are all installed and ready to go. To build a functioning rifle you just need a complete upper receiver with a bolt carrier group and charging handle. Once you pin the upper on, you've got a working AR.
