The heart of the system is the user-changeable barrel. Loosen two bolts with a standard Torx wrench and the barrel comes free, no gunsmith and no headspace drama. That means you can swap calibers or barrel lengths down the road as your needs change, which is a big part of why the MRAD holds its value so well. The monolithic upper is machined from 7000-series aluminum with a full-length M1913 Picatinny rail with built-in taper up top, so mounting a long-range scope with plenty of elevation is simple. The handguard takes M-LOK accessories at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions, and the fluting on the barrel trims weight while helping it shed heat during longer strings.
The folding stock locks in around the bolt handle to shrink the rifle down for cases and truck storage, and it adjusts for length of pull and cheek height so you can get a proper fit behind the glass.
