The MRAD earned its reputation the hard way, through military trials and real field use, and this Flat Dark Earth version in .300 Norma Magnum brings that same pedigree to your bench. The 26 inch fluted barrel gives the .300 Norma room to stretch its legs, and this cartridge was practically made for the job, delivering flat trajectories and retained energy well past distances where most magnums start running out of steam. A two port muzzle brake up front takes real bite out of the recoil, which matters when you want to spot your own impacts through the scope.
The upper receiver is machined from 7000 series aluminum as one monolithic piece, with a full length M1913 rail cut with built in taper so you keep plenty of elevation for true long range work. The handguard has mounting slots at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions for lights, lasers, bipods, or whatever else your setup calls for. The barrel system is where the MRAD really separates itself. Loosen two bolts with a standard Torx wrench and you can pull the barrel for cleaning, maintenance, or a full caliber swap. No gunsmith, no headspacing drama.
The folding stock locks up as rigid as a fixed stock when extended, and it latches around the bolt handle when folded so the rifle stays the same width for transport. Length of pull adjusts to five positions at the push of a button, the cheek piece dials in without tools, and the match grade trigger module is fully adjustable to your preferred pull. The thumb safety swaps sides and the paddle style mag release works from either hand, so lefties get a genuinely equal experience here.

Yes, that is one of the biggest draws of the MRAD platform. The barrel comes out by loosening two bolts with a standard Torx wrench, and the system supports multiple calibers and barrel lengths. You will need the appropriate barrel conversion kit and the correct bolt head for the cartridge family, but there is no gunsmith or headspacing work required.
It is. The MRAD uses a match grade trigger module housed in the lower receiver that is fully adjustable, so you can set the pull weight where you like it. The whole module is easy to access for maintenance or replacement without tearing the rifle apart.
Better than most precision rifles. The thumb safety can be swapped to either side, the paddle style magazine release is ambidextrous, and the grip accepts standard AR-15 style pistol grips. The stock also folds to the bolt handle side, so handling stays consistent either way.
