Shotgun suppressors used to be a novelty. Big, heavy cans that sat on top of your rib and blocked the bead, fine for the range but useless in a duck blind. The Banish 20 is a different animal. It was designed by people who hunt, for 20 gauge guns specifically, and it shows in every detail. At 7.57 inches long and just 14.7 ounces of 100% titanium, it barely changes how your gun swings. The low profile keeps your view down the rib completely clear, from the receiver past the bead to the bird, so you mount and shoot the same way you always have.
Instead of clamping over the barrel, the Banish 20 attaches through your shotgun's choke system with a model-specific mount, and the choke tubes thread into the front of the suppressor itself. Three come in the box, Improved Cylinder, Modified, and Full, so you can tighten or open up your pattern without pulling the can off the gun. Extra mounts are available too, which makes moving it between a couple of 20 gauges pretty painless.
Ammo flexibility is where this thing earns its keep. It runs everything from #8 target loads up through #2, BB, BBB, 00 buck, and slugs, and it handles lead, steel, bismuth, and tungsten shot. That covers dove fields, upland birds, waterfowl, and small game with one suppressor. Just skip steel and tungsten through the Full choke, and steer clear of rifled slugs and oddball wads.
The additive manufactured titanium body is wrapped in a Cerakote finish that shrugs off moisture and abuse, whether that's a salty coastal blind or a briar-choked grouse cover. Banish backs it with a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects and damage from normal use. Knock roughly 15 dB off the report and a suppressed 20 gauge goes from punishing to genuinely pleasant, which matters a lot when you're introducing a new hunter to wingshooting or burning through a case of clays.
No, and that's one of its best features. The low, streamlined profile is shaped so you keep an uninterrupted sight line down the rib, past the bead, and out to the target. Your mount and swing stay natural, which is a big deal when a bird flushes.

It mounts through your shotgun's existing choke seat using a mount matched to your gun's choke tube design, so no barrel work is needed. The included Improved Cylinder, Modified, and Full chokes then thread into the muzzle end of the suppressor to control your pattern. Additional mounts are sold separately if you want to swap it between guns.
Not at all. The additive manufactured titanium build keeps it at 14.7 ounces and 7.57 inches, so it adds less bulk than most people expect. Balance shifts slightly forward, but most wingshooters adjust within a box of shells, and quiet reports make long days much more comfortable.
