The 30 Gold ships from the factory with a 5/8×24 muzzle brake, which covers most .30 caliber bolt guns. That leaves your 5.56 and .22 barrels out of the rotation until you add a 1/2×28 mount like this one. Since the Gold is rated from rimfire all the way up to .300 RUM, one suppressor genuinely can cover a whole collection, and these mounts are the cheap part of that equation. Most folks end up with one on every rifle they shoot regularly, because unscrewing and swapping a single muzzle device at the range gets old fast.

No, this mount is purpose-built for the Banish 30 Gold's quick-detach system. If you run a HUB-pattern can or a different QD setup, you'll want the muzzle device made for that interface instead. Think of it as one half of a matched set with the 30 Gold.
Any rifle with 1/2×28 muzzle threads and a bore of .30 caliber or smaller, which covers most AR-15s in 5.56 and .223 plus a huge range of rimfire rifles. The 30 Gold itself is rated from rimfire up to .300 RUM, so pairing this mount with a 5.56 or .22 host is well within its wheelhouse. For most .30 caliber bolt guns with 5/8×24 threads, use the 5/8×24 version instead.
Nope, that's the whole point. The flash hider stays torqued on the barrel as a permanent mount, and the 30 Gold spins on and off it in seconds. When the can is off, the flash hider keeps working on its own to cut visible muzzle flash.
Flash hider prongs need to sit in a specific orientation to work correctly and to give the suppressor a square, repeatable mounting surface. The included shim kit lets you dial in that alignment without a crush washer, which keeps the mount concentric to the bore. Take your time on the install and the suppressor will index the same way every time you attach it.
