Run it as a standalone brake to knock down felt recoil and muzzle climb during unsuppressed range sessions, then thread your Banish suppressor right onto it when you want things quiet. It's cut for 5/8×24 threads, the most common pitch on rifles in this caliber class, and finished in black to match the rest of the setup.
This brake is purpose-built to work with the Banish 46 series, including the current HNT 46 TI (formerly the 46-V2). To go suppressed, you'll want the Banish HUB Muzzle Brake Insert, which threads into the rear of the can using the industry-standard 1.375×24 HUB pattern. The brake on your barrel then locks into that insert, giving you a repeatable quick-detach connection without fussing with tools every time you swap. If you already run the direct-thread mount, think of this as the piece that adds true QD convenience to the mix.
Every muzzle brake needs to be clocked so the ports sit level, and a brake that isn't timed right won't do its job. That's why this one ships with a shim kit. The stainless shims let you dial in the exact rotation so the brake shoulders up tight against the barrel with the ports where they belong. It's a straightforward job with the included hardware, and getting it right the first time means consistent recoil reduction shot after shot.
The Banish 46 platform is a serious multi-caliber workhorse, rated for everything from 5.56 up through heavy hitters like .338 Lapua, .450 Bushmaster, and .45-70 Government, plus pistol rounds like 10mm and .45 ACP.
