This is the Modified constriction choke tube made specifically for the Banish 12 shotgun suppressor. Instead of screwing into your barrel like a traditional choke, it threads straight into the muzzle end of the suppressor, letting you tune your pattern without giving up any of that hearing-safe sound reduction. The Modified choke sits right in that sweet spot between open and tight, giving you a well-rounded pattern that works for a lot of upland birds, decoying ducks at moderate range, and general clays or range work.
The tube is machined from 17-4 PH stainless steel and finished with a black nitride coating. That combo is what you want out at the muzzle, where heat, powder residue, and weather all take their toll. Nitride does a great job fighting corrosion and cutting down friction, which matters when you're threading and unthreading chokes in a cold blind or a dusty field. It's also seriously compact, measuring about an inch long and tipping the scale at roughly a third of an ounce, so it adds basically nothing to the balance and swing of your setup.
The Banish 12 suppressor ships with three chokes from the factory, Improved Cylinder, Modified, and Full, but a spare Modified is a smart thing to keep in the bag. If yours gets cross-threaded, dinged, or just wanders off during a hunt, you're not stuck sitting one out. Keeping the choke matched to your load and the range you're shooting is the whole point, and having a backup of your go-to constriction means you're always ready to pattern properly.
