Birchwood Casey Duracap 7.62×39 Snap Caps – 4 Pack

Description

Snap caps are one of the most practical tools you can have for working with your rifle at home. These Birchwood Casey training rounds let you practice trigger control, work through malfunction drills, and dry fire safely without ever touching live ammunition.

What Makes the Duracap Design Different

What sets the Duracap apart is the construction quality. Each round is CNC machined from solid aluminum and hard anodized, so they feed and chamber just like real ammunition. The hard anodized surface means smooth cycling through your action and a round that will last through hundreds of practice sessions. That rubber firing pin buffer inside is the key detail that matters most, because it absorbs the impact when your firing pin strikes home. Modern rifles handle dry fire pretty well, but that cushion extends the life of your firing pin and gives you peace of mind during practice.

Training Applications Beyond Dry Fire

These work for a lot more than just pulling the trigger at home. Many people load them randomly into a magazine at the range mixed with live rounds to practice clearing malfunctions on the fly. You can also use them to decock your rifle safely when storing it, which keeps tension off the hammer springs over the long term. If you're getting familiar with a new 7.62×39 rifle or working on gun handling fundamentals, snap caps are safer than live fire for the basic stuff, and your wallet will thank you when you're doing fifty trigger presses instead of burning through ammunition.

Realistic Weight and Function

Because these are machined from aluminum and sized to exact specifications, they weigh and feel like real rounds. That makes them valuable for practicing reloads and positional work. You get realistic feedback from your rifle without any of the risks.
