The mainspring housing and front strap are machined checkered at 20 lines per inch for a secure grip without requiring grip tape. The slide features front cocking serrations alongside the standard rear serrations, plus decorative cuts that give it a more modern, purposeful appearance. It all rides on classic single-action 1911 controls with three layers of safety: thumb safety, grip safety, and a firing pin block.
