The KIDD Auto Bolt Release takes that whole routine off the table. It swaps out the factory bolt hold-open (part B-41) so you can lock the bolt back, give the charging handle a quick tug, and let it slam home on its own. No thumbing a tiny lever, no two-handed fumbling.
This is a direct replacement for the factory bolt stop inside your 10/22 trigger group. Once it's in, the manual of arms gets a lot more natural. You rack the bolt from the locked-open position and it releases forward without any extra input. It's the same feature KIDD builds into their complete trigger units, offered here as a standalone part so you can upgrade the factory trigger you already own.

With any auto bolt release, a firm hit or drop on the buttstock while the bolt is locked open can cause it to release and close. If a loaded magazine is in the rifle, that could chamber a round, so keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction and follow normal firearm handling practices.
