Arisaka Defense built this little rail section for folks who run M-LOK handguards but still need a chunk of true 1913 Picatinny to hang gear on. The whole idea is to keep things low. Instead of a tall rail block that pushes your accessory way up off the tube, this one sits close, which means whatever you mount rides tighter to the handguard for a cleaner, more compact setup. It's a small part that makes a real difference on a build where you're trying to keep the weight and bulk down.
You get three Picatinny slots in a 1.37-inch package, with a height of just .277 inches over the mounting surface and a weight around 0.4 ounces. That short footprint is the sweet spot for smaller accessories where a full-length rail is overkill. Think a flip-up front sight, a light or laser mount, a hand stop, or a QD sling swivel base. The two-point M-LOK attachment does more than just hold it on too. It spreads the load from heavier accessories like a bipod or vertical grip across the slots, so you're not putting all that leverage on a single point.
This is CNC machined from 6061-T651 aluminum and finished with MIL-A-8625 Type III hard coat anodizing, which is the tough matte black coating you want on a part that takes abuse. It ships with two Magpul M-LOK nuts and two 10-24 x 5/16 inch Torx button head screws. You'll need an IP25 or T25 Torx driver to install it, and that isn't included in the box, so grab one if you don't already have it in your kit. It's made in the USA and it also plays nice with the Arisaka Rail Slider if you run one, though any in-spec Picatinny accessory will clamp right on.
