It bolts your Scout Light Pro swivel body low against the handguard while giving you room to fine-tune where the light sits, which matters a lot when you're running a laser and need everything to line up right.

It resists the twisting and bending forces that a cantilevered light setup can put on a mount, so your zero and your alignment stay put.
