Arisaka Defense built the Indexer for folks who want a reference point on their handguard without bolting on a bulky vertical grip. It grew out of demand for an M-LOK take on Arisaka's popular Picatinny Finger Stop, and it carries the same slim front-to-back profile with a gentle radius on both faces. The idea is simple: give your support hand something to seat against so your grip lands in the same spot every time you pick up the rifle.
The main way to run it is between your index and middle fingers, which naturally pushes your hand further out on the rail. That forward placement keeps it out of your way when you drop into kneeling or prone and slide your support hand toward the rear. Set up like this, the Indexer makes it easier to load the rifle straight back into your shoulder pocket and hold control through the string. It's a small tab that does a lot of work.
The wider, flatter face isn't just for looks. It works as a rear hand stop, a forward hand stop on short-barrel builds, or a solid surface to brace against a barricade for a steadier position. On shorter handguards it also acts as a forward limit, keeping your fingers from sliding off onto a hot barrel or suppressor. Owners running it on pistols and SBRs consistently point to the flawless machining, thick anodizing, and deburred edges as the standout details.
Installation is straightforward with an IP20 or T20 Torx wrench, which you'll need to supply. The Indexer is CNC machined from 6061-T651 aluminum and finished with a hard coat anodize, so it shrugs off years of handling. Mount it, torque it down, and forget about it. For a piece of gear that weighs about half an ounce, it changes how planted your rifle feels in a real way.
It's a low-profile hand stop that gives your support hand a consistent reference point on the handguard. Most people run it between the index and middle fingers to pull the rifle tight into the shoulder, but the wider face also works as a hand stop or a barricade brace. It's a lightweight alternative to a bulky vertical grip.
This version is designed for M-LOK rails and mounts to any standard M-LOK slot using the included nuts and screws. If your handguard has M-LOK, you're good to go. Arisaka also makes a Picatinny Finger Stop if your rail runs slots instead.
You'll need an IP20 or T20 Torx wrench, which is not included in the package. Thread in the two supplied screws through the M-LOK nuts and snug them down. Arisaka recommends torquing to around 15 inch-pounds for a secure hold.
