Arisaka Defense has built a reputation on small, purpose-driven parts that do exactly what they say, and the Picatinny Hand Stop is a great example. It gives your support hand a consistent reference point on the rail so you can load the rifle into your shoulder, run it harder, and keep your grip in the same spot shot after shot. There is no bulky vertical grip here, just a clean, minimalist piece that stays out of the way until you need it.
The main job of this hand stop is helping you pull the gun firmly into your shoulder, which tightens up your control and takes some of the sting out of recoil. It also doubles as a barricade stop when you are working around cover, and you can flip it around and mount it at the front of the handguard to keep your support hand from sliding off the end onto a hot barrel or suppressor. The profile was shaped to work with a wide range of hand sizes without turning into something big and clunky, measuring 1.3 inches tall, 1.1 inches long, and 1.19 inches wide at the clamp while weighing in at just 0.84 ounces.
This one is CNC machined in the USA from 6061-T651 aluminum and finished with a MIL-A-8625 Type III hardcoat anodize, so it holds up to real use and looks the part. What sets it apart from a lot of rail-mounted parts is the internal recoil lug that extends from inside the body for a secure, rattle-free lockup. The recoil lug and its mating screw are captured, meaning they will not fall out and get lost when you pull the stop off the rail, and there is a CNC-engraved rotation indicator to show you which way to turn for tightening or loosening.
Installation is quick with a 7/64-inch Allen wrench, torqued to a maximum of 15 inch pounds. Between the fit, finish, and thoughtful details, it is one of those parts that earns its spot on a build and gets left there.
This version is built for 1913 Picatinny rails, so it clamps onto any standard Pic rail section on your handguard. If your handguard is M-LOK, Arisaka makes a dedicated M-LOK version instead. Just match the stop to the rail interface you have.

The Hand Stop is meant to sit at the rear of your support hand so you can pull the rifle back into your shoulder, and it has a slightly wider contact area. The Finger Stop has a rounder, slimmer profile designed to ride between your index and middle fingers, which usually places it further forward on the rail. Which one you want comes down to your grip style and where you like your hand on the handguard.
