The Arisaka Finger Stop takes a different approach than most rail-mounted controls. Instead of sitting behind your support hand like a traditional hand stop, this little rounded nub is meant to nestle right between your index and middle fingers, which usually means it lives further forward on the handguard. That forward placement is the whole point. It stays out of your way when you shift into kneeling or prone and slide your hand back, but it still gives you a solid reference point so your grip lands in the same spot every time.

What Makes the Arisaka M-LOK Finger Stop Different

Think of it as a happy medium between a bare handguard and a full vertical grip. On short builds it really earns its keep, acting as a forward limit so your fingers don't creep off the rail onto a hot barrel or suppressor. Plenty of folks running pistol-length ARs and short-barreled setups use it exactly this way, and it pulls double duty as a barricade rest when you need a stable brace against cover.

Build Quality on the Finger Stop

This is CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and finished with a MIL-A-8625 Type III hard coat anodize, so it shrugs off the abuse a handguard accessory takes. At roughly 0.85 inches tall and half an inch wide, it weighs in around 0.4 ounces. You'll basically forget it's up there until you reach for it. It's also made right here in the USA.

Getting Your Finger Stop Mounted

Installation is about as simple as it gets. It bolts directly to any M-LOK slot using the included M-LOK nut and screw, and all you need is a 5/32 inch Allen wrench, which isn't in the box. Snug it down, position it where your hand naturally falls, and you're set. The flexibility in placement is a big reason people like it, since you can dial in exactly how many fingers ride on each side depending on how you shoot.
