Description

Anybody who has tried to run a weapon light on an older Troy Alpha handguard knows the stock Picatinny adapter sits the light way too high and gets in the way of everything. The Arisaka Inline Scout Mount solves that by ditching the factory rail piece entirely and giving you a slim, direct interface that keeps the light hugged in close to the rail. It bolts to the upper 45 degree mounting holes or slots on the Troy Alpha, and the whole setup barely lifts the light off the mounting surface.

What the Arisaka Inline Scout Mount Actually Does for Your Setup

The magic here is the overlapping hole design. When you mount to a 45 degree flat, you can shift the light body a touch closer to or farther from the 12 o'clock rail, which gives you the clearance to run a front sight or other accessory without a fight. There are three lateral positions offering a small offset to either side of center, and once it's installed the light base sits only about two tenths of an inch above the surface. That is about as low as it gets.

Compatibility is broad. It's built for the SureFire Scout Light M600 and M300 series, the Arisaka 300, 600, and 18650 Series lights, the Olight Odin, and the Streamlight ProTac Rail Mount 1 and 2. If you're running a Scout-footprint light, odds are good it drops right on.

Built the Way Arisaka Builds Everything

This mount is CNC machined from aluminum and finished with a Type III hard coat anodize, so it holds up to real use and matches the black finish on most rifles. It's made in the USA and ships with the hardware you need to bolt the light body to the mount, including a Troy backer plate. One thing worth mentioning from folks who have run it: throw a little thread locker on the screws during install and it'll stay put through recoil. A T20 Torx or IP20 TorxPlus driver and a small Allen wrench handle the job, though those aren't in the box.

Frequently Asked Questions

What handguards does this Arisaka Inline Scout Mount fit?

This version is made specifically for legacy Troy Alpha handguards. It replaces the stock Picatinny rail adapter and mounts to the upper 45 degree angle holes or slots. If you have a different rail like an M-LOK or KeyMod handguard, Arisaka makes dedicated versions of the Inline Scout Mount for those instead.

Which weapon lights work with this mount?

It's designed for the SureFire Scout Light M600 and M300 series, the Arisaka 300, 600, and 18650 Series lights, the Olight Odin, and the Streamlight ProTac Rail Mount 1 and 2. Basically any light that uses the standard Scout lug footprint should bolt right up. The hardware to attach the light body is included in the box.

How low does the Inline Scout Mount sit?

This is one of the lowest profile Scout mounting options out there. Once installed, the base of the light sits only about two tenths of an inch above the mounting surface, which keeps everything tucked in tight against the rail. That low stance is the whole point of the inline design.

Can I move the light to clear my front sight?

Yes, that's where the overlapping hole design comes in. You get three lateral positions that let you shift the light body slightly left or right of center. That gives you the wiggle room to clear a front sight or another accessory without the light body getting in the way.
